Finished the lightning shelf.  It turned out very well.  It twisted and warped some, but it isn't that bad.  Flat pieces as they were bonded together, pushed the warp to another area.  The lesson it to just not use warped cheap wood, but what fun is that?
The cut outs worked very well. Notice how the back edge is lifting.  That's the warping.
 Here is the whole reason for the shelf.  To hold "The Art Museum" book.  The book fits perfect, well not quite.  It is hard to get your fingers in and pull the book out.  In the future I need to add the thickness of your fingers to the shelf size.


Here is the shelf in the shelf.  It fits perfectly in the shelf.  Just the right height.  "The Art Musuem" book is in the base and above are various art and craft books.  It works very well.  I am very pleased with how it turn out.
