Assembled the Lighting Book cabinet.  I am sealing/finishing it with the water base poly finish.  It is pretty dark But, I did some sanding between staining and finish layers which removed the stain on the soft  ring layers and the left the hard layer stained.  This lightened and stripped the piece.  Pictures later.  The wood was from a discard bin a Home Depot.  It is very resinous.  It smell like pine tar when ever it is sanded.  It also seems to twist and warp with every joint I put in it.
