It has been a long time since Game of Abbies has been on TV. Last nights 2 hour episode was great! Just to recap; the story is about to forces fighting to control this big old castle that they call an Abby. There are no nuns so why it's an Abby is part of the mystery. The "keep things the same" team is headed by Lord Grabsome. The other faction is the "We must change" team. At the end of last year the head of team "we must change" Mathew, was killed in a car crash after his son was born. So the big question last night was, who will take over team WMC. Tom mister, Irish widower whinner has no chance of taking over the team. He just isn't the in your face with the carefully crafted cutting comment, needed to keep Lord Grabsome in check. But Tom is excellent at motivating or other to do what needs to be done. In a brillant Downstairs move he get Lorad Grabsome's best ally to dance like a puppet. Tom got Carson to push Mary to take over team WMC. Previously Mary, Carson and The Countess had been the biggest allies of Lord Grabsome. Not only did Carson push Mary toward leadership of team WMC, The Countess pushed Lord Grab Some to push Mary to take over team WMC. In an even more stunning development The Countess help buck up team WMC most loyal member Violent. Telling Violent to be more involved with her dead son's child. Violent pushed back saying she didn't want to meddle in Mary's affairs. To which the Countess delivered one of her patent zingers. "Dear, we are grandmothers, meddling is what we do." Just great.
I think the moral for these stunning changes in team alliance is that without the clash of team KTTS and WMC there is nothing. Why have so many members of KTTS help rebuild team WMS? Without Mathew team WMC is done and KTTS have won. So why not revel in victory and stomp out the last remains of team WMC? Because it's not winning that counts, it's the struggle that is important not the victory
