Dogs, Rock and Weeds.

I have been so busy since May 24th!  I had planned to get up early this morning and update this blog.  Then the dog got sick.  I had to get up about every 45 minutes from 1:30 until 4:30 letting the dog go out and get sick.  At one point I fell asleep in the chair outside and Bingo woke me up to go inside.  By 4:30 I think he must have been 20 pounds lighter.  So I got in about 8:40.

Working backwards from that...

Sunday we went and bought a Ton of rock.  Not kidding literal a Ton.  We went to this place where you can load your own rock.  They weight your vehicle you load the rock and then with you again. One load we got gravel and the front end loader pour the rock in the back of my truck.  The guy running the loader was nice he let me wave him off once my springs started bottoming out.  Guess just guess how much this all cost???  $20.   Later I realized $20 was much much worse than $200.  At $20 I am sure we will be back.  So the guy loaded the gravel for us but we had to unload it.  So that was Sunday.  Also had to stop at the garden center next door and buy more plants.  Also got the water feature running...

Saturday morning my parents came over and had breakfast with us.  After we got them on the road to Cheyenne we drove all over town running errands.  I had to get an Oil filter for my motorcycle.  We drove up to Enrico Motorsports.  Then drove north of there, to the Denver City Gravel yard.  Pretty interesting place.   Pretty run down.  I guess they lost the water rights so there is no lawn.  Louise's garden group does some work there.  We then drove back through Denver and stopped for lunch at the Walnut Room on South Broadway.  So we had to look through a bunch of the shops on South Broadway.  By the time we got home it was 2:00 PM.  I spent the rest of the day getting my motorcycle running.

Friday I took the day off since my parent were in town.  We went and had breakfast with them at their hotel.  Then my mother a Louise went to look at an Iris garden and to go plant shopping.  My dad and I went to Enrico Motorsports to get Oil and crush washer for my motorcycle...  I didn't get the oil filter because I had a box on the shelf back home.  (Of course it turned out to be empty so Saturday I had to come back...)   Dad enjoyed Enrico  Motorsports.  He got a cup of coffee, in a mug no less and was walking around looking at motorcycles...  After Enrico Motorsports we went to Charlies Used Tools on Laramier Street.  Dad really liked that place.  He had the guy search for saw set, (tool use to 'set' the teeth of a saw for sharpening)  Meanwhile I searched boxes for drill bits and anything else I could live without.

Next we meet back up with Louise and my mom at Louise's mother's place.  We had a nice visit with her.  Had lunch at home then went to the movie's at the Landmark theater.  We saw "Now You See Me."  Not a bad movie but it would have been better with more magic in it.  Mom and Dad loved the "free" popcorn and soda at the Landmark.  For dinner we drove to "Famous Dave's" BBQ.  We got the feast for four and still brought chicken and ribs home!  I was sneaky and got the check from the waiter before he brought it back to the table.

So back to Memorial Day weekend... That is all sort of a haze of yard work and filing.  (Had most to the this winter's bills still unfiled, so sat and watch Longmire reruns on TV while filing paid bills...)
