Last Week of April

Yesterday was the only Monday in April in which it didn't snow.  But guess what is happening on Wednesday.  Yes snow!  Glorious SNOW.

The remodel of the downstairs bathroom is complete.  But Louise is still shopping for just the right towel and appointments.  Louise has used the bathtub a couple of times and says it is very nice.  I have not.

I did get to work on the birdhouses this weekend.  I got the bodies all assembled.  Next is the base and a post.  Then the roofs.  I did most of the work in the driveway.  It was so nice and sunny outside.

On Saturday Louise and I rode the new W light rail line.  It goes from downtown to Golden.  It was so very crowded!  It was free, and the weather was great, so everyone in town was out for a ride.

Oh we also talk to one of our neighbors, their son was home for a visit.  She teaches English at the Regsis Jesuit High School.  I asked her what they knew about Loyola Marymount University.  She said that was where her son had gone.  He told about what a great university it is.  Said it is in a nice part of town and it is easy to get from the airport to the college.  Told him our nephew was interested in the music program.  He said it was very good and had a lot of great placement opportunities in the LA area.

  1. The nephew is going to the Recording Arts program at LMU .... such a long way from the hospital in Laramie, Wyoming where he was born. But, that's what happens ... they grow up and spread their wings ....

We watched Kill Bill 2 last night ... it was the designated break from studying. I'm patiently waiting for "Silver Linings Playbook." Surely one day they will say "yes" to it.
