Daniel Day-Lewis Amazing As Lincoln, who knew Lincoln was so BORING!

Louise and I went to the movie "Lincoln" this weekend.




So I have to think about what to say.   This is one of those movies that it is so so hard to rate.  Because on one hand as I was watching the  movie I found myself thinking "It is so cool that they actually got Abraham Lincoln to play Abraham Lincoln! How did they do....no wait that's Daniel Day-Lewis!  He is amazing!"  But on the other hand I found myself thinking "Man I never realize Abraham Lincoln is so boring! I am sick of his folkies homespun wisdom!"    There is just no suspense at all.   You go into the movie knowing that the 13th amendment passes, the north wins the war and Lincoln dies.  At least I hope you know this.   The big surprise is  the Republicans are the good guys and the Democrats are the bad guys.   (Insert your own politically motivated joke here...)

If you have a choice...go see Skyfall.  If you've seen Skyfall, go see it again.
