So last weekend Louise, Bingo! and I went for a hike in the Mount Evan National Forest. We went along the "Abyss" trail. It is a really great Hike. It starts out rising up with a little gain in altitude. Then it levels out in a nice flat walk through a very open forest along side of a noise creek. We went until we reach a creek crossing that was a little to risky for us. We turn back found a nice big flat rock next to the creek and had a picnic lunch of apples and trail mix. It was very nice day.
Tuesday night I had to take apart the drivers side seat in my pickup truck. It was complete broke such that it either reclined fully or was fully forward and had no stops in between. So took the seat out, pulled it completely apart and found that two bolt that hold the seat back to two "control pistons" had completely snapped off. I came up with several plans to put them back together. But, ended up calling the Ford Parts counter and buying the replacement bolts. Ouch!
So last night I put it all back together. It was much easier and less stressful to put it back together. It took me about two hours and lots of cussing to take the seat apart. Last night it took about 30 minutes to put it back together and install it. Of course the truck won't start after all this. The battery was drained after all the working with the door open for hours. But the real test is today when Louise drives it to school.
Why is Louise driving it to school? Well her vehicle is in the Garage being repaired. So of course when we need it my truck breaks down. I don't call it "Joe Satan" for nothing.
We're just back from riding the Random Tandem to school. There was a triathalon on our normal route, so we had to take the scenic "back side" of the Masch Sea! No cussing at all ... but I sure would like your pick-up seat on the tandem!
