I am very sad this morning.  I read in the paper that Blinky the Clown has died.  Here is a link to the article http://www.denverpost.com/breakingnews/ci_21411432/blinky-clown-denver-tv-icon-more-than-40.

I remember watching Blinky.  I have very clear memories of Blinky singing Happy Birthday, Explaining how arrange cooking pots' handle on the stove so little kid wouldn't hurt themselves, and Never to use cider block to hold up a jacked up car.  In general, I always hear a little voice in my head when I'm doing something un-safe.  The voice usually says something like  "Would Blinky think this is safe?"

Here is another good story about Blinky http://www.emmyawards.tv/silver_circle/russell_scott.php

Thanks Blinky!

  1. WOW!!! 91 years old ... it just goes to show you how long a person can live when they keep safety in mind! It was great watching that show with you ... especially when KFBC took off the Timmie O'Toole show (we were on it once ... but you probably don't remember).

  2. I remember walking in to this cavernous room with really bright lights and lots of kids. I am pretty sure that is from the Timmie O'Toole.
